MICA L

MICA L is a muscovite-type mica from our own Austrian deposit. MICA L has a specific gravity of 2.85 and Moh's hardness of 2.5. It has a whiteness of 77% and humidity below 1% at 100°C. MICA L has a pH of 9.5, oil absorption of 17g/100g and specific surface area of 8 m^2/g. Its loose bulk density is 520g/l. MICA L has a d98 particle size of 30.0um, d90 of 16.5um, d50 of 7.5um and d30 of 5.5um. MICA L can be used in applications that require a filler with a smooth flat structure, flexibility and resistance to heat. Its lightfastness and weather resistance make it well suited for exterior applications. In plastic industry, improves heat deformation resistance, stiffness as well as chemical resistance.
