DISPERBYK-164

DISPERBYK 164 is a high performance wetting and dispersing additive suitable for solvent-borne coating systems and pigment concentrates used in advanced materials. DISPERBYK 164 stabilizes pigments of all types and is also suitable for non-polar systems. It is aromatic-free and has a higher solids content than similar products. DISPERBYK 164 deflocculates pigments and stabilizes them through steric hindrance, providing equal electrical charge to pigment particles. This results in repulsion and steric stabilization that prevents co-flocculation, leading to improved properties in advanced material coatings and composites. Using DISPERBYK 164 can increase gloss, color strength, transparency, hiding power and reduce viscosity of millbases for advanced material formulations. It is recommended for use in solvent-borne systems where high performance pigment stabilization is required for applications in the advanced materials industry.
