BYK-L 9568

BYK L 9568 is a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane, hydroxy-functional surface additive that provides several benefits for advanced material manufacturing processes. BYK L 9568 produces improved flow and leveling of polymer solutions during coating applications. Its unique chemistry also facilitates release from substrate materials after drying. As an additive for polymerization reactions, BYK L 9568 can impart properties like permanent surface slip and flexibility to the final advanced material. With a density of 1.04 g/ml and non-volatile content above 97%, BYK L 9568 is suitable for use in solvent-borne and aqueous polymer systems. Only recommended at levels between 0.1-0.5% of the total formulation, BYK L 9568 efficiently optimizes the surface properties of advanced materials during processing and in the final product.
