BYK-3451

BYK 3451 is a silicone surfactant that provides significant reduction in surface tension. BYK 3451 especially improves substrate wetting on very non-polar substrates. It leads to minimal stabilization of foam in the system and does not impair the next layer application. BYK 3451 is characterized by its excellent substrate wetting properties, particularly also with thin application layers. BYK 3451 causes considerable reduction in surface tension, thus improving leveling and spreading. The additive does not increase surface slip. BYK 3451 is suitable for formulations without co-solvents and recommended where improved wetting of very low-polar substrates is required.
