BYK-3550

BYK 3550 is a silicone acrylate copolymer additive that provides strong reduction in surface tension and improves leveling and substrate wetting. BYK 3550 exhibits different properties depending on the system polarity. In polar systems, it shows excellent compatibility and homogeneous distribution in the film. This improves recoatability and adhesion of protective layers. BYK 3550 can be used across the entire structure. It also enhances orientation of matting agents. In non-polar systems, BYK 3550 improves anti-blocking without impacting recoatability or gloss. BYK 3550 is especially suitable for applications that require enhanced surface properties and film formation.
