BYK-CATALYST 450

BYK CATALYST 450 is a blocked acid catalyst that accelerates the cross-linking of amino resins with hydroxyl group-containing resins. It reduces baking temperature and time. BYK CATALYST 450 allows for decreased baking temperatures of 10-20°C compared to other blocked catalysts. This extends the shelf life of coatings and helps meet environmental regulations. Its low reactivity provides formulators with more processing time and flexibility. BYK CATALYST 450 is recommended for applications where a catalyst is needed to improve curing at lower temperatures without sacrificing performance.
