BYK-028

BYK-028 is a VOC-free silicone-containing defoamer that provides easy incorporation and effective foam control for aqueous high gloss emulsion systems. As a standard defoamer, BYK-028 is recommended for initial testing and is particularly suitable for high-quality emulsion formulations based on acrylate and polyurethane resins within the PVC range of 0-25%. BYK-028 efficiently destroys foam during production processes. It can be added at any stage and is often divided between the millbase and let-down portions for optimum defoaming performance. BYK-028 ensures a smooth, uniform appearance in final coatings through effective air release. The product is also recommended for defoaming various aqueous adhesive systems, maintaining high quality and reliability in bonding applications.
