MICA XL

MICA XL is a muscovite-type mica produced exclusively from our own Austrian deposit. MICA XL has a high specific gravity of 2.85 and a Mohs hardness of 2.5, making it a durable filler suitable for demanding applications. Its whiteness of 77% FMY and low humidity content of <1% at 100°C contribute to good opacity and moisture resistance. MICA XL has a neutral to slightly alkaline pH of 9.5, allowing compatibility with a wide range of formulations. With an oil absorption of 17 g/100 g, MICA XL supports efficient binder usage while enhancing surface smoothness. Its loose bulk density of 570 g/l provides increased packing efficiency and strength, making it well suited for load-bearing and technical applications.
