DISPERBYK-2157

DISPERBYK 2157 is a VOC-free wetting and dispersing additive for non-polar solvent-borne and solvent-free inks, coatings and plastisols. As a block copolymer with aminic, pigment-affinic groups, DISPERBYK 2157 deflocculates pigments and stabilizes them by means of steric hindrance, preventing coflocculation. This leads to benefits such as increased gloss, optical density and transparency or coverage, and reduced millbase viscosity for applications. DISPERBYK 2157 is particularly suited to low-polarity systems, stabilizing both organic and inorganic pigments. It greatly reduces viscosity enabling higher pigment content in concentrates. For advanced material formulations, DISPERBYK 2157 enhances properties like strength and durability by optimizing pigment dispersion quality and concentration. Its strong deflocculation effect results in uniform pigment distribution at nano scale, improving material performance, quality and consistency.
