BYK-A 500

BYK A 500 is a silicone-free air release additive for virtually all unsaturated polyester resins and processing techniques as well as for epoxy and polyurethane resins. BYK A 500 is highly effective at releasing air from formulations, resulting in fewer defects and improved aesthetics of finished products. It is particularly recommended for transparent systems due to its compatibility. BYK A 500 can be used at low levels between 0.1-0.5% to achieve air release benefits without negatively impacting other properties. Optimal levels are determined through testing. BYK A 500 provides value by enabling formulations to fully cure without air pockets, bubbles or other defects, leading to durable, aesthetically pleasing end products.
