BYK 3741

BYK 3741 is a solvent-free, silicone-containing surface additive that provides slight reduction in surface tension and increase in surface slip for solvent-borne and solvent-free systems. It improves leveling and has defoaming effect. BYK 3741 is particularly suitable for non-polar to medium-polar systems. The defoaming effect intensifies with increasing polarity. BYK 3741 prevents cleaning traces from showing through when recoated. It can be incorporated during any stage of the production process, including post-addition. Unlike silicone oils, BYK 3741 is very user friendly. It is recommended for use in applications where leveling, defoaming and recoatability is required without leaving any defects.
